Cold Dew, the17th solar term of a year, is also known as the September Festival. The weather is cold enough now to condense the dew, and that is how its name comes.
English Version"Cold Dew"
Cold Dew is always around the Double Ninth Festival, a traditional Chinese festival for respecting the aged. In this period, southern China is still enjoying gentle breeze and clear sky. People take their family and go climbing, praying for the blessing from heaven and earth.
To celebrate Cold Dew, people are accustomed to drinking autumn tea and eating steamed crab. Chinese work hard all year and there is no reason to miss any delicacies presented by the season.
Cold dew knocks on the door of late autumn. From now on, the autumn in northern China may become cold rather than pleasantly cool. To the south - singing and flying, those unstoppable visitants come across mountains and rivers, and wait for another spring.
